Buckthorn Honey
Buckthorn Honey is fragrant and subtle. This honey that remains liquid for a long time is often considered to have the same medicinal virtues as the Buckthorn.
• Appearance : The colour is dark brown or reddish-brown. Pure Buckthorn honey remains liquid for a long time.
• Smell : At first, the aromatic bouquet of Buckthorn Honey has a light smell of stable and stale bread, a more pleasing balsamic aroma then takes over.
• Taste : The taste is not dissimilar to that of pine cough expectorant, not very long-lasting due to the lack of acidity and bitterness.

The Alder Buckthorn is a tall shrub that reaches a height of 3 to 5 meters with long stems and few leaves. The bark is smooth and purplish-blue. Despite its name, it doesn’t have thorns.

En juin j'en ai acheté 2 kilos dans le Cantal, mais j'attends qu'il se cristalise, alors j'en ai commandé un pot de 500g ne connaissant pas la bourdaine et voulant goûter un miel crémeux (plus facile à tartiner, il ne dégouline pas par les trous de la tartine).
Et là : QUEL REGAL !
