Inula viscosa Honey
Inula viscosa Honey is collected at the end of october. Harvested at the end of October, Inula viscosa (Dittrichia viscosa), also known as False Yellowhead, Sticky Fleabane, Woody Fleabane and Yellow Fleabane gives this creamy honey a light scent. Inula viscosa honey spreads nicely on toast.
This honey could also be called Autumn Honey because the Inula viscosa is the only flower in bloom when the hives are brought from the mountains back to the shrubland at the end of summer.
• Appearance : The colour is clear yellow with a smooth, almost creamy, consistency.
• Smell : Light, subtle, and delicate
• Taste : The mild flavour leaves a sweet after taste. Inula viscosa Honey crystallises quickly.
