Sunflower Honey is smooth and creamy. Sunflower Honey, known as the “summer blonde” because of its bright yellow colour, comes from the sunflower crops that decorate the summer horizon in southern France.
• Appearance : Sometimes the lemon yellow colour is golden and bright. Once extracted, Sunflower Honey crystallises quickly into to fine to medium crystals. The consistency is usually thick and solid.
• Smell : The nose detects the smell of wet honey and fresh pollen.
• Taste : The aromatic and unique taste is suggestive of plant life and lingers in the mouth after swallowing.
Sunflower Honey is rich in flavonoids and trace elements such as calcium, bore, and silicon. There are claims that it fights fever and could help blood circulation. Sunflower Honey is a favourite amongst children.
