Harvesting and Conservation
The bees carry pollen back to the hive in clusters on their hind legs.
We collect the pollen by placing a grid at the entrance of the hive. When the bees pass through the holes in the grid, the pollen falls into a small drawer and must be harvested every 2 or 3 days in the high season.
Fresh pollen contains very little water and can be stored in the freezer for several months. It can be frozen and thawed several times without altering its beneficial properties.
Put your jar in the freezer upon reception and help yourself to small amounts daily.
